Hemodialysis Treatment

Hemodialysis Treatment is a medical procedure used to filter waste, toxins, and excess fluids from the blood when the kidneys can no longer perform these essential functions. It is typically used for individuals with chronic kidney disease (CKD) or acute kidney failure. During hemodialysis, blood is drawn from the body, passed through a special filter called a dialyzer (artificial kidney), and then returned to the body. This process helps maintain the proper balance of minerals, electrolytes, and fluids in the body, preventing complications related to kidney failure. Hemodialysis is usually performed on a regular basis, often several times a week, in a specialized clinic or dialysis center, and it requires careful monitoring by healthcare professionals.
